It was great to see Ludacris out in London last night (Saturday, March 25). A packed out Hammersmith Apollo with the crowd dressed to the nines, it was nothing but good vibes. The opening acts, attractions in their own right, held it down nicely and set it up for Ludacris to kill it.
Loved the back-to-basics set-up too – Ludacris, his hypeman (lil Fate) and his DJ. No gimmicks. He went through the hits and the vibes were right all right. Revisited a good few from Back for the First Time and kept the crowd interested – only downer was when he played a Taio Cruz collaboration which we all ultimately brushed over.
Ludacris was supported by three of the UK scene’s ‘fresh and buzzing’ acts Joe Grime, Stefflon Don and Abra Cadabra.
