After a good week of good drops, we have two big debuts and a return to the art form.

Firstly, Vic Mensa drops his hugely anticipated (and long-time coming) debut “The Autobiography”. After his pre-project mixtape a few weeks back, the anticipation was heightened. Kanye’s actual protege, Roc nation signee, Vic has always been seen as the next big thing, probably more so than his SAVEMONEY comrade and long-term collaborator, Chance the Rapper; so big things are expected of this. From what we’ve heard in the lead up, this shouldn’t disappoint. For one earmarked for greatness, should be a dope listen.

In the second recommendation, Aminè has finally dropped his debut album “Good For You” following his huge hit, “Caroline”. The feature list on the album is healthy and having garnered a top 20 hit so early into his career plus a spot as one of XXL’s Freshman of the year (class of ’17), we’re expecting something dope. The Portland emcee clearly has an ear for a hit and so we’re looking forward to hearing where he’s at with it all. Listen listen listen.

Finally, Akala has been busy in the last year or so but mainly on the political sphere as he’s debated with leading UK politicians and even taught a class at Oxford. Well the rhyme slinger has come back on the mic and dropped a new EP “Visionz”. With the artwork featuring the eye of Osiris and the title alone, this very much feels like a continuation of the messages he’s been pushing which are always founded in facts and pretty important. Expecting this to be one to leave you woke. Listennnn
