Another week but an extraordinary couple of drops.

First off, a couple of the biggest names in rap right now, Future and Young Thug, surprised the world with the release of their joint mixtape “Super Slimey”. With both having released hugely successful solo albums albums this year, the mixtape should serve as a celebration of the year that’s been. The ATL duo are clearly at the peak of their powers right now and have been supplying the game with the waviest tracks and features over the course of the year, and without doubt there will be some culture/club staples to come from this project. We can’t speak any more highly of the potential of this album and so put it as the number one recommendation for the week. Listennnn.

Although the top recommendation today was a great one, it wasn’t easy as across the pond, arguably the biggest names in the UK scene right now just dropped their new project. Krept and Konan drop the hugely anticipated “7 Days/7 Nights” mixtape which is a ‘double-project’ packed with the grittiest grime tracks then something for the ladies too. Having taken a couple of years since the last release, this feels well-timed in this fickle rap scene where rappers sometimes feel the need to release projects too close together. Apart from a few freestyles and features since; the South London duo have been missed. The UK scene has made huge strides in the last 12-18 months and following the release of their first two singles (which were both very dope) it’ll be interesting where this project lands them on the food-chain. Will they conquer the US? Listennnnnnn.

Annnnnd that’s enough for your ears.
